はじめてチャットクラブへいきました

チャットクラブはおもしろいです。ひとがおおかったですそうして、ニールさんとイアンさんにみました。あそこでかたり（talking）はすこしむずかし でした。わたしはにほんじんにさんにんにほんごのいちねんせいにごにんあいました。にほんじんのにほんごがわかりませんでしたが、いちねんせいににほんご をおしえました。たべものもたべませんでした。のち（afterwards）はしることおしました。

Goals

1. Many people learn Japanese for business reasons but I'd like to understand the different speech patterns in other forms of conversation. I'd like to know the different ways that people can phrase the same sentence based on age, gender, or situation. With this knowledge, I can better converse in an informal setting.

2.This semester, I hope to learn new phrases that may not necessary sound formal as well as additional grammar patterns and vocabulary.

3.I'd like to do this by reading the manga, Beck, and compiling a list of phrases and words to learn. The series is about music and teenage life so there will not be a great deal of esoteric vocabulary. The series also has two Japanese American characters who are not completely familiar with the Japanese language. There are online retailers that have the Japanese version available.

なまえ

わたしのブログのなまえはかんじがあります。みんなはかんじならいませんから、わたしはこのじおしえます。わたしのなまえは「航」です。ちゅうごくごでハンおよみましたが、にほんごでコーおよみました。「航」がありますから、クラスでミイコーはすきななまえです。

にほんごの「航」とちゅうごくごの「航」はえいごでなにもですが、「航」はアイデアです。「航」は空（Air）と「Aeronautics」ですそうして、海（Sea）と「Voyage」です。

わたしはなまえがたくさんあります：マイケルとマイコーとハとコーンデス。

アニメクラブ

わたしはアニメクラブのかいけいかん（ｔｒｅａｓｕｒｅｒ）です。まいもくようびにわたしたちはランナ（Ｌｅｒｎｅｒ）のウェストランプロンジ（Ｗｅｓｔ　Ｒａｍｐ　Ｌｏｕｎｇｅ）であいます。メティングはきゅうじからじゅういちじまでです。ときどきあそこであたらしいアニメをみさす。せんしゅうはいちミティンでしたから、アニメもうみませんでした。こんしゅうのミティンははがねのれんきんじつしのヂスカッションです。

アニメクラブはランナでとしょかんがあります。にほんごのマンガとアニメのＤＶＤがあります。じゅうにがつに ニューヨークのアニメ フェスティバルへいきます。

The Return

The first week went worse than I thought. I had forgotten a good portion of the grammar patterns and the majority of the vocabulary. Thursday was especially horrible. I still can't believe that I forgot ほん. I need a refresher of a good amount of last semester's material.

There aren't many familiar faces in class especially with the first years. I haven't worked much with Dan and Brian last semester.

I'm pleasantly surprised that the vocabulary will be quizzed at a slower pace.
